Dr Lubna Karim is a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist practicing in Surrey. In addition to her NHS practice, she runs private clinics in Guildford and Esher for children and young people aged 9 to 18.

She is experienced in treating a wide range of mental health conditions impacting young people and their families and works in a friendly, caring and confidential way. She takes a holistic approach to treating mental, emotional and physical health. She offers assessments for the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and ADHD (for ASD and ADHD assessments, she sees children and young people aged 6 to 18).

As a​ child psychiatrist, Dr Karim is a medical doctor and is able to diagnose conditions and prescribe medicines. Her medical degree is from Guy's, King's and St Thomas's medical school, University of London. She undertook core psychiatry training at the Royal Free and University College London Hospitals and she completed her specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the South West London & St George's training scheme.

She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and is listed on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist.

In addition to her private practice, Dr Karim works as a Consultant in NHS Surrey & Borders' CAMHS service in Guildford. She lives in Surrey and has 2 children.

Her Esher clinic is on Saturday morning and early afternoon and her Guildford clinic is on Monday morning and early afternoon. Dr Karim's ASD assessments involve a multidisciplinary ADOS assessment carried out together with a Clinical Psychologist and take place in Guildford on Monday morning. She is able to offer follow-up appointments via Videoconference for patients who would prefer this.
